...AN ENDING OF AN ERA AT SCIMITAR RIDGE RANCH...

It is with a heavy heart that I share this news informing any of my past and future guests at Scimitar Ridge Ranch that StayLux is no longer managing this Anacortes property, and will no longer be providing services for the property as of October 1st 2024. I know this will likely come as a shock to many of you as most know I’ve poured the past 2 years of my heart and soul into getting that property off the ground and to where it is today. But unfortunately, with a concerning amount of mismanagement regarding finances, zoning laws, building code/permitting and guest safety on behalf of ownership, it came evidentially apparent that I could no longer professionally support or encourage the operations at that property. Although this decision to no longer manage the Ranch has been a rather difficult one to make, I assure you that it was one that I had to make to preserve my own integrity and to ensure our guests are only receiving the highest quality experiences and vacations at the highest quality and professionally managed properties available in the PNW. 

If you are an actively booked guest with an upcoming reservation at Scimitar Ridge Ranch:  

-It is my understanding that your reservation with Scimitar Ridge Ranch will remain active. It is unclear that this time if or who may take over management, and/or what that could look like. The owners’ intention is to bring in another property manager ASAP. My understanding is that the new manager (or maybe even the owner) will be in contact with future guests as they attempt to develop their own processes and procedures that support how they intend to operate the property and put in place the systems that are most convenient for them.   

-Per your rental agreement, you have the right to cancel your reservation for a 100% refund, as long as you do so 60+ days prior to arrival. If you wish to go this route, let me know and I will get this in process with the Ranch bookkeeper, Yelena. You’d likely want to make this decision in the near future to increase the likelihood that your refund gets processed in a timely and complete manner.
